Description
This file includes FIVE activities for the short story “Two Friends” by Guy de Maupassant. These activities will provide a language analysis (commas and semicolons), assess comprehension, evaluate understanding with a close reading activity, and provide vocabulary in context.
Included in these activities for “Two Friends”:
→ A complete lesson plan (editable) to walk the teacher through the process.
→ Ten vocabulary words in context and a vocabulary quiz.
→ A close reading activity where students look at famine during war and answer five questions.
→ A reading quiz—ten questions. The quiz has 10 multiple questions (each one has three possible answers) focusing on comprehension.
→ A mentor sentence activity/language in context. Students will study comma and semicolon use from sentences from the story.
