Description
This writing packet has 15 writing prompts that address Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. I have included these questions in two formats; one is editable, and one is in pdf. You will be able to add these to whatever online learning platform you use.
Overview of writing for Romeo and Juliet:
√ The questions are laid out with an attractive background that older students will appreciate.
√ Writing space is provided for students.
√ You should be able to print (as many as needed!) and teach—hopefully think about Romeo and Juliet in analytical ways!
I have also included the writing prompts in an editable .doc. Plug these into a test, quiz, or extension activity.
An answer key is not included, but a rubric is. You will see the rubric in this file’s preview.
When I teach Romeo and Juliet, I do not use every one of these writing prompts. The variety allows for differentiation, student choice, and options for make-up work. Sometimes I post these essay questions around the room and let students rotate and make comments. These writing prompts should be diverse enough for many needs.
