Studying parts of a sentence? This grammar activity covers subjects, verbs, direct objects, indirect objects, predicate nouns, and predicate adjectives. This coloring sheet will allow students to practice identification, and then “color by grammar.”

* A coloring sheet (the leaves), with parts numbered.
* 15 practice sentences that each contain an underlined subject, verb, direct object, predicate noun, or predicate adjective. Students will need to identify each one.
* A coloring key. Each part of a sentence is assigned a color. Students will then color the number on the sheet.
* An answer key, and a picture of a finished sheet.
